Careful planning was needed to complete this job. The home is located in Running Springs California on a downhill slope. The existing deck was supported on rottten wooden posts that was no longer in use due to risk of injury. The task was to demolish and remodel the deck with stairs, add a balcony to the master bedroom, install wood siding on the entire front side of the home, and construct doors and windows.

     First, the existing posts are carefully demolished to begin adding the siding to the home. Next, the upper deck and patio are constructed. Slope of the stairs is measured and built to fit. With the railing built and installed, the wood is cleaned of any dirt or debris to apply a protective coating on the wood for a long lasting finish.
